One person died in Buea today and another was injured after they were shot by Government forces. They were both members of a traditional dance group called Nganya, one of the most sacred in the Bakweri land.


The National President of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement, (CRM) party, Professor Maurice Kamto has condemned the killing of the school girl, Tataw Brandy, in Bamenda. According to Professor Kamto, the regime in Yaoundé is responsible for the killings in the Anglophone regions as they know the solution to the crisis.

Tomorrow marks the birthday of Tataw Brandy, the girl shot dead over the weekend in Bamenda. She was killed by a policeman on her way from school.


The Coalition for Dialogue and Negotiations has condemned threats against delegates who participated at the Toronto, Canada forum late last month. According to the statement by CDN, the threats were mostly targeted at delegates who traveled from the Southern Cameroons to Canada to attend the conference.


Authorities of the St Elizabeth Catholic hospital in Kumbo say soldiers stormed the facility, threatening health personnel. The soldiers, they say, were seeking separatist fighters they claimed were being treated in the hospital.


An unidentified corpse was found today in Bamenda, the capital city of the North West Region. The body, locals say, was found near a commercial motorbike with bullets to its back.


Cameroon’s Indomitable Lion’s coach, Antonio Conceiçao has reiterated Cameroon’s determination to defeat Ivory Coast in tomorrow’s World Cup Qualifier. The game will be a decisive one, with the Indomitable Lions obliged to win at the Japoma Stadium in order to qualify for the next round of qualifiers.
