At least 14 Cameroonians have been arrested and detained for more than 30 days in China for reasons yet unknown. All efforts to get them out of detention have been futile.

At least two students have died in Muyuka. Reports say the two victims were shot in a gun exchange between the military and Ambazonian fighters.

The SDO for Fako Division today asked CDC workers to suspend their strike action planned from October 12 to 14. The workers have expressed a series of grievances against the corporation’s authorities.

Vilagers of Banten in Nso, Bui Division are still in the bush following continuous military raids and shootings in the area. Most locals have gone into hiding, while road blocks mounted by Separatists fighters in the area have prevented some from fleeing to other villages.


The Vatican has been tipped as a potential mediator in the war in the North West and South West Regions. Advocating for the institution to take the lead, some civil society institutions and officials say its reputation makes it a fair broker.


Two persons killed in Muyuka, South West Region today remain unidentified. Locals say the two were gunned down by soldiers in the morning.

According to the CAMASEJ Yaounde executive, this is thanks to a partnership with the medical facility and part of activities to commemorate this year’s World Sight Day.


Students of the University of Bamenda are fleeing from Bambili. They are accusing landlords in the area of indiscriminately increasing rents above 20 percent. Most students have returned to their homes in Bamenda, saying they will leave there for school daily.
