Christians of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Mezam Presbytery are celebrating the release of their Congrational Chair, Elder Nana Anastasia. She spent a night in captivity, kidnapped after a church service on Sunday by suspected Amba fighters.


The Cameroonian army’s search for ‘General’ No pity has reached Boyo Division in the North West Region. There have been reports of frequent gun battles around Sho and Ashi in Belo Sub Division, with locals taking safety in the bushes. The latest move by the army comes after the renowned separatist militia leader was reportedly spotted in the Division.


Residents of mile 4 Nkwen in Bamenda have made calls for security in the locality to be intensified. This follows the murder of a young man, Funwi Blaise Tanwie by gunmen late Sunday after he resisted a kidnap attempt.


Nelson Enongene, father of Enondiale Carolaise, a school girl shot dead in Buea two weeks back has spoken out for the first time since the incident. In a memorial mass, he said he was in deep pain and would not wish any person to experience what he’s going through. He also expressed his disappointment with those justifying his daughter’s killing by a Gendarme officer.


Protesting sanitation workers in Yaounde have left most parts of the town in a squalid condition. The workers of sanitation company, Hysacam demanding three months salary owed them, blocked the entrance to the Nkolfoulou base. Officials are yet to react officially.

The town of Kumbo, in Bui Division, North West Region has gone for more than six months now without electricity. Locals say the situation, added to the crisis has made it difficult for their children to study especially in the evenings.


Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses have qualified for the upcoming African Women Cup of Nations, Morocco 2021. They qualified after beating the Central African Republic 2-0 yesterday at the Douala Japoma Stadium.
