Lawyers defending Antoinette Kongso, a pregnant lady tortured and arrested in Buea close to a month ago say they have been threatened by the court. While adjourning the case to November 9, the presiding judge, they say, warned them against granting interviews to the press that may go contrary to the court ruling.



Investors of Global Trade International Investment have accused the company of fraud. The investors say the company has gone for more than 2 years without paying dividends to more than 500 of them. The company has refuted these claims.



A fire outbreak has destroyed a significant part of the Marché B Market in Bafoussam, West Region of Cameroon. So far, the cause of the fire has not been established. No lives were lost.


Cameroon’s railway company, (CAMRAIL) today announced the death of a woman killed by one of its trains in the Nyong and Kelle Division. Camrail extended its condolences to the family of the deceased and urged persons to be more cautious around railways.



A suspected thief has been arrested in Yaoundé at the Carrefour Sorciér neighborhood. He is said to have been caught in possession of a motorbike believed to be stolen a few days ago.



Residents of Cameroon’s capital, Yaounde have decried the abandonment of waste at different parts of the town making it inhabitable. The neglect results from a protest by sanitation workers over overdue salaries. Attempts to cajole them to return to work have so far proved futile.
