A statement from a source who spoke on the basis of anonymity has told Mimi Mefo info that the civil administrator is doing fine and is at his duty post.
The source debunked claims made by the Ambazonia Defense Forces, ADF that they had kidnapped the DO.
Others have described the information as fake and unfounded.
Reacting on phone to Mimi Mefo Info, Fouda Etaba Bernoit Nicaise Divisional Officer for Mbengwi Central says: “You already have the answer. If I was kidnapped you will not have me on phone. It is just a way by the terrorist to create panic in the population. This is not the first time messages about my kidnap have circulated on social media. There has been no attempt at kidnapping me.”
