Prophetess Grace, also wife of denominational Prophet Daniel Mbongchom has appologised through a private message and on Facebook for pouring hot water on Church singer Vanessa Kim.
Grace had addressed Vanessa as “fornicator”, accusing her of having sexual relations with her husband.
“I can never rest until you forgive me. I will keep calling you until you forgive me. Van please I’m deeply sorry for everything that I’ve caused you. Please I’m so so sorry,” the Prophetess said in a message to the injured Vanessa Kim.
Vanessa, who is currently at a medical facility in Douala, had demanded for public forgiveness from Grace, threatening she risked going to jail if she failed to appologise publicly to gain her forgiveness.
The Prophetess has been in police custody since after commiting the act. She took to her Facebook page on Friday, December 25, saying, “My sincere apology to a friend, a sister and her family. I am so sorry for all the hurts and pain I have caused you… I love you and will always love you as a sister.”
Before pouring water on Vanessa Kim recently, Prophetess Grace and husband, Prophet Daniel Mbongchom, just ended a three-day crusade in Douala this December 17-20 held under the banner of Enlightened Church of Wonder, a Christian denomination.
Vanessa Kim had featured on the crusade flier as singer for the event.
After the apologies tendered, Vanessa, still at a hospital in Douala, has not commented whether she has forgiven her Prophetess or not as she still stands a chance of going to jail for her act.
Although family members’ reports say the woman is responding positively to treatment, her upper abdomen, including chest and head, are still badly injured by the hot water recently poured on her body.
The incident in Douala might just be one of the sad stories that usually accompany the December glamour as marriages and relationships become victims of extreme competition and quests for pleasure among young people.
