Some of the road users say their vehicles have been halted for about an hour and they have been told PM Dion Ngute’s convoy is to use the road.
The heavily-guarded convoy of close to a hundred vehicles also contains seven Ministers including those of Secondary and Basic Education.
“Leaving Douala for the Southwest is blocked for almost an hour now because the PM is expected to pass,” said one of the road users.
The PM was in Kumba yesterday where he represented President Paul Biya at the funeral ceremony of the seven school children killed in the restive “Green City”.
At press time, the convoy just passed through Bonaberi in Douala.
