Douala: Gendarmes Arrest Human Bone Trafficker, Two Thieves

Some elements of the New Bell Gendarmerie Brigade in Douala have caught and detained some individuals believed to be serial criminals specialized in robbery and trafficking in human bones.

The operation was carried out on April 05, 2021 in the Makea District, an area quite renowned for the sale of illicit drugs. The New Bell Gendarmerie acted on information from the population of the area.

The criminals were taken separately by the elements. In the first mission, the Gendarmes arrested some two formidable young men aged 24 and 25 years old. The duo had been notorious for several acts of theft, assault, and gang looting.

The second ambush by the elements of the New Bell Gendarmerie Brigade, this time at the Terminus District, they got hold of a 22-year-old individual suspected of human bones trafficking.

The three criminals have been detained at the New Bell Gendarmerie Brigade, and the population have been urged to collaborate with the forces of law and order to root out such individuals from society.

The Gendarmerie has equally promised to carry out more of such operations.
