A man, whose name MMI got as is on the run after stabbing a phone vendor and stealing his merchandise. The 26-year-old victim is battling for his life in a private hospital in Douala after he was rushed there by members of the public.

The yet-to-be-identified victim is a phone vendor who sells online. MMI gathered from eyewitnesses that he was contacted by Issa Bolo (pictured) who wanted to buy an iPhone XR. The two parties agreed to a face-to-face meeting to conclude the sale.

They both agreed to meet in the evening at the Ange-Raphaël neighbourhood in Douala where the suspect made use of the darkness and stabbed the vendor, making away with the phone while leaving his victim in a critical state.

A few hours after being rushed to the hospital, the victim was able to identify his aggressor with the help of his online profile details. A complaint has already been filed against him at the mobile intervention unit of Bonanjo.

At the moment of this report, the victim is still in a critical state. His family members are with him and have been praying for a stable condition. The suspect is still on a run.
