A migrant Cameroonian has saved a 4-month-old baby from drowning on the high seas after their boat capsized.
Originally from the North West region, the young man is said to have left Kumba in the South West Region where his parents reside to seek greener pastures, escaping from the armed conflict.
He however found himself on high seas — fighting for his life.
Going by a video of a rescue operation, he did all he could to save a baby in the process after their boat overturned.
“The baby was not breathing when we found them in the waters, the rescue did everything to reanimate the baby, he is alife,” said a photojournalist who captured the images.
It is feared the kid’s mother like many other migrants who were on board, did no make it.
Despolite the despicable conditions and life threatening risks they are compelled to take, this ads continue to make the perilous migration journey to Europe through the seas, jungles and desert.
In the case of Cameroon, many continue to flee the armed conflict in the English speaking regions which has left thousands dead, injured and displaced.
