Dschang Accident: Death toll rises to 55

The death toll has risen to 55 following a motor accident that happened at Falais Dschang, West Region of Cameroon on the 27th of January 2021.

Twenty-seven injured persons are receiving medical attention.

Paul Atanga Nji, Cameroon’s minister of territorial administration is visiting the accident scene Monday, February 1st, 2021.

The visit according to the official report is to create awareness for Cameroonians to be more prudent while on the road.

Minister of transport, Jean Ernest Ngalle Bebehe was at the accident Sunday, January 31st. He visited the injured persons.

Closed to a week after the accident that has now claimed 55 lives, the government’s call for an investigation on the cause of the accident has not produced results.
