The body of a 12-year-old girl has been discovered inside a well in Mandjou, in the East Region of Cameroon, two months after the girl went missing.
Parents of the deceased girl say she was abducted in December 2021 by unknown individuals.
The parents say the kidnappers had demanded a sum of 15 Million FCFA as a ransom for the child, but they were only able to raise 1 Million FCFA.
Weeks after the kidnap of the girl, her body was today discovered inside a well in Mandjou (Batouri) East Region, decomposing already.
Two suspects have been arrested by the forces of law and order about the case. Investigations are currently ongoing to establish more facts on the affair.
