East Region: CPDM Senator Mireille Adaré is no more

Mireille Adaré Gassawily, a Senator of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) representing the East Region of Cameroon had passed away.

The senator passed away following an illness on June 22, 2023, at the Yaounde General Hospital.

The 49-year-old teacher and entrepreneur was elected on March 12, 2023, in the East region.

In a statement, the president of the Senate confirmed the passing away of the senator as he expressed his condolences to the family.

“The President of the Senate sends the bereaved family the most saddened condolences of the Senate…” the statement read.

The deceased becomes the first member of the 3rd vintage of the Cameroonian Senate to pass away since their installation.
