East Region: Seven die in ghastly road accident

Seven persons have died in a fatal road accident along the Abong Mbang – Atok road in Haut Nkam Division, East Region of Cameroon.

The accident took place early Tuesday, December 27 at about 2AM, a witness told Mimi Mefo Info.

It resulted from a collision between a bus which was transporting several passengers and a heavy-duty truck that was stationed beside the road.

The deceased victims have been taken to the mortuary in Abong-Mbang while the injured victims are receiving treatment in hospital.

Authorities have not yet issued a statement.
