Government Bilingual High School Bamendakwe has benefited from some new desks donated by the National Community Development Driven Program, PNDP to help ease learning.
The regional coordinator of PNDP, Rene Ngoko while handing the benches to the institution Thursday, October 28, 2021, noted that the choice of GBHS Bamendakwe was motivated by the total number of students in the school this academic year.
GBHS Bamendakwe currently hosts a student population of about 3000 students in both the anglophone and francophone sections of the school.
According to the PNDP coordinator, the donation will facilitate mainstream education.
The principal of GBHS Bamendakwe Awuro Estella says the benches will be distributed to the Form One and Sixieme classes.
“With the crisis, we have a lot of students so the benches are going to help them seat comfortably”, she said.
This is not the first time PNDP is carrying out this kind of humanitarian gesture in the North West region.
