Rangers FC of Bafut in Mezam division of the North West region are fine-tuning t strategies ahead of their maiden participation in the MTN elite II championship.
The team, officials say, has been on the offensive in its preparation through friendly games. Rangers FC of Bafut are in Pool B of the Elite II championship. Their first game was against Unisport of Bafang at the Bamendzi stadium in Bafoussam.
According to the head coach, Franklin Anumewa, his boys are ready for the tournament. “We are going there to have our first three points”, coach Anumewa said.
Rangers FC of Bafut is made up mostly of players that qualified the team for elite two. Some new games have been brought in to strengthen the team.
Kache Boris from Riziere Tonga, Puis Gallin from Foncha Street FC, Njibero Durell amongst others have been added to the team and the coach believes that they have everything it takes to qualify to the next level.
To the team captain, Mungala Silus, he and his teammates are ready for the task ahead of them. “The spirit we had last year which took us to division II is the same spirit we are building this year to go to division one”, Mungala said
