The French president, Emmanuel Macron is expected to visit Cameroon in the weeks ahead.
According to Jeune Afrique, the date for the visit is 26th July.
In an article published this week, the Pan-African weekly revealed that Cameroon and France are preparing a visit by Emmanuel Macron to Cameroon.
At the French Embassy in Cameroon in Yaoundé, officials told reporters that: “we can neither confirm nor deny this information.”
However, Jeune Afrique revealed that the visit will take place if all parties accept the topics to be discussed.
On the issues on the menu of Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Yaoundé, the newspaper of Béchir Ben Yahmed specified that “It will be related to security issues, Anglophone crisis, Boko Haram threats in the North of the country… and also politics.”
“Emmanuel Macron intends to take advantage of this trip to Yaoundé to alert international partners and raise awareness on the impact of the war in Ukraine in Africa, and encourage local production,” according to Jeune Afrique.
