Equipment manufacturer, Coq sportif threatens to sue FECAFOOT

Coq sportif, former equipment manufacturer of the Indomitable Lions kits has threatened to take legal proceedings against the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.

In a note signed by Marc-Henri Beausire and addressed to Fecafoot president , Samuel Eto’o, the former indicated that his company had in no way breached any commitment as equipment supplier for the past three years.

He stated that, “absolutely nothing justified this termination, especially since FECAFOOT does not, to date, hold any claim against us.”

He proceeded by calling on Fecafoot president to “allow us to calmly continue the preparation of orders for frames already engaged for your federation.”

He further indicated that failure to do so, their counsel is ready to take all legal proceedings in a bid to obtain compensation for the damage.

“… in the event that any third party and in particular any equipment manufacturer, would infringe the rights of which we are holders, we would not fail to immediately initiate legal proceedings appropriate against him” he added.

It should be recalled that on July 1, 2022, FECAFOOT, through a release announced the termination of their contract with the equipment supplier company, Coq sportif.
