Exclusive Consultations In UB Ahead Of Inclusive National Dialogue

University of Buea lecturers who are not of South West origin will not be allowed in a consultative meeting billed for today at the Amphitheatre 250 of the institution.
They have been excluded by the Vice-Chancellor, Associate Professor Ngomo Horace Manga, supposedly action on the instructions of South West Governor Bernard Okalia Bilai, as outlined in the communiqué convening the meeting.

Announcing a consultative meeting for the University of Buea ahead of the inclusive Grand National dialogue as announced by President Paul Biya, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution insist that only lecturers of the University of Buea of South West origin should attend, leaving out lecturers originating from the other nine Regions of Cameroon.

Fears are that only students of South West origin may now be admitted to study at the University of Buea. It remains to be seen if lecturers who hail from the other nine regions of the country will be shown the door.
