Fai Collins Allegedly Returns Home to Play for Victoria United.

Speculations are rife that Cameroonian international Fai Collins has decided to return home to play for local club Victoria United after parting ways with former Saudi Arabian club AL Tai in July 2023.

Collins, who is a versatile defender, has enjoyed a successful career in Europe, playing for clubs such as Standard Liege and Dinamo Bucuresti. He has also been a regular member of the Cameroon national team, featuring in the 2017 and 2022 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

Victoria United has not made a public announcement on this, but a few days ago, when Fai Collins was spotted training with them, they shared it on their social media platform, captioned “Fai in Camp”.

The 31-year-old Collins has not yet pronounced himself concerning his new position with Victoria United but has for the past few days been sharing publications in the media talking about his possible contract signing with the MTN Elite 1 club.

According to unconfirmed sources, it is a one-year contract worth $50 million FCFA but proper information about this is awaited by many in the days ahead.

“Collins’ decision to return to Cameroon is a major boost for the country’s football league. The league has been struggling to attract top players in recent years, but Collins’ arrival is sure to generate interest and excitement,” said one of his fans on Twitter

“Collins’ return is also a positive development for the Cameroon national team. The national team has been rebuilding in recent years, and Collins’ experience and quality will be a valuable asset to the team,” Another fan added

Collins’s decision to return to Cameroon is seen by many as a brave one. He is leaving behind the lucrative salaries and comfortable lifestyle of Europe to play in a less competitive league. However, Collins is clearly motivated by a desire to give back to his country.

Collins’s arrival is sure to have a positive impact on Victoria United. The club has been struggling in recent years, but Collins’ experience and quality will help them to challenge for trophies.
