By Timfuchi Aaron

A woman specialized in the sale and manufacture of fake cosmetic products has been apprehended by security forces in Cameroon’s economic capital, Douala.

The discovery leading to the arrest of the woman was made during an operation conducted by customs officials in the Ndokotti neighborhood in Douala.

Containers of different sizes including strange substances, equipment such as brushes, and others were found in the factory for the making of fake cosmetic products.

The captain of the customs sector, Mr. Wara Wara Francis revealed that they got the information on the fabrication of fake cosmetic products which resulted in the operation they carried out.

Upon arrival at the scene, the security officials realized that the documents presented had nothing to do with the products they found.

The suspect, Magnidem Marie, they stated, produces the fake products but attaches labels such as ‘made in the US’ to get customers.

The business lady whose shop has been sealed several times and whose factory was recently discovered has been detained for questioning and investigations.
