In an attack on Djagara village, in Kolofata, on Wednesday night, Boko Haram fighters burnt down at least 15 houses rendering several persons homeless.
Although no human life was lost, a member of the village’s vigilante committee was hit by a bullet and rushed to a health facility in Kolofata.
According to reports, the victims of the attack on Djagara are desolate after losing their millet granary which was razed alongside their homes.
According to Dan Baba, inhabitant of Kolofata, “We are already used to these attacks, thank God that this attack did not cause deaths. Certainly our parents will not have a place to sleep but we will do with the little of the means that we have.”
