Far North Region: At least 15,000 persons deprived of healthcare

For close to 3 years now, between 10,000 to 15,000 have been deprived of healthcare services in the localities of Bounderie, Kangueleri, Homaka, and Limani amongst others.

Families in these areas are also without potable water and have seen numerous health establishments destroyed and others set ablaze by Boko Haram militants.

Health establishments not destroyed by the terrorists are located dozens of kilometers away from the populations of these affected areas.

The Multinational Joint TaskForce meanwhile has lend a helping hand to these people by providing free healthcare services, with the aid of the members of the armed forces.

The free healthcare initiative by the Multinational Joint Task Force, in collaboration with the United Kingdom, not only aimed at providing healthcare to affected Boko Haram victims but to reassure and encourage these people who have remained resilient and collaborative with members of the Defense Forces.
