Far North Region: Population of Mayo Tsanaga lynch two suspected Boko Haram terrorists

The population of Tourou, in the Mayo Tsanaga Division, Far North Region have reportedly neutralized two suspected members of the deadly Boko Haram terrorist group in their community.

The men were nabbed at the Gadebelou outpost in Tourou, while they strategized on how to launch an attack on the local population.

They were spotted by the vigilante group, who then alerted the military. After a raid on them, the unfortunate pair were captured and killed by the angry population.

On several occasions, the local population of Tourou and other environs of the Far North Region have lost sleep and remained terrorised by the deadly group.

Hundreds of families have lost their loved ones to the terrorists, thousands of businesses destroyed and villages annihilated.

The outcry from the people of the Far North Region has always been for the government to reinforce the security of the region, with a majority of the workload falling into the hands of local vigilante groups.
