MTN Elite One side, Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda has been fined the sum of One Million Frs CFA by the Fecafoot Homologation Commission, kick442 reports.

The release says fans of the 2013 Cup of Cameroon winners were guilty of destroying facilities during YOSA’s match day 22 clash against Astre of Douala at the Bepanda Annex Stadium on April 29, 2023

Kick442 reported that fans of the Yong Sports Academy couldn’t hold their emotions after the match officials turn down a penalty decision on that faithful Saturday, which led to some of the ground facilities being destroyed.

However, the Homologation Commission in their decision mentioned it wasn’t within their competence to evaluate the extent of the damage but fined YOSA One Million frs CFA for failing to control their fans.

YOSA suffered a defeat to Astre on that faithful day, which complicated their chances of survival but had to win their relegation playoff clash against Eding to maintain elite one status for next season.

Kick442 also reported that Fecafoot will deduct the fine from the club’s last tranche of the 2022/23 subvention before making the payment in the days ahead.
