The African Union of Karate has suspended a Cameroonian, Emmanuel Wakam from the position of the Secretary General of the union. The decision as read on the national radio Tuesday August 11th equally suspends him as the coordinator of Karate in the central African sub region.
The decision from the African Union of Karate follows a similar one taken by Cameroon minister of sports and physical education.
Friday August 7th 2020, minister Narcise Muolle Kombi suspended Emmanuel Wakam and other collaborators in Cameroon federation of Karate (FECAKARATE) for sexual harassment,misappropriation of sport materials and football allowances.
The suspension is to permit the national Olympics committee to examine the allegations. The minister of sports and physical education has called on all those suspended to make themselves available to the committee for further investigation.
