FIFA orders FECAFOOT to pay over 1 billion compensation to Antonio Conceiçao

World Football governing body, FIFA, has instructed the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT to pay the sum of over a billion franc to former indomitable lions coach, Antonio Conceiçao.

According to a recent release by FIFA’s tribunal, FECAFOOT is expected to pay the sums of 1,352 250 euros as net compensation for breach of contract without just cause, 213, 750 as outstanding remuneration and 37, 500 as a net outstanding bonus payment.

An amount which corresponds to over 1 billion francs CFA. FECAFOOT is expected to make the complete payment before 45 days.

According to the note, failure to do so, “The Respondent shall be imposed with a restriction on receiving a percentage development funding, up until the due amounts are paid.”

It should be recalled that Antonio Conceiçao was sacked by Samuel Eto’o, president of the FECAFOOT, in the month of February, immediately after the hosting of the 2021 African Cup of Nations.
