Five dead, several others injured in Tiko-Mutengene car crash



At least five persons are said to have lost their lives with several others injured in a fatal road accident along the Tiko-Mutengene stretch in the South West Region.

The incident occurred Wednesday in front of the National Water Company of Cameroon, SNEC water catchment Likomba- Tiko.


According to sources, a heavy-duty truck lost control and collided with another truck which crushed two other vehicles in the process.

“.. the truck brakes failed at Likomba hill and it collided with another which crushed two small cars,” a source indicated.



The vehicles involved in the accident included a taxi and private Toyota carina.

The corpses of the deceased have been transported to the mortuary while those injured are currently in a nearby hospital, battling between life and death.
