Floods leave dozens of families stranded in Bamenda III

Floods have left passengers and other roads users stranded at the bridge linking mile 4 and mile 3 Nkwen in the Bamenda III sub division of the North West Region of Cameroon.

This was following heavy rains which ragged the city on August 31st 2022.

Many have been left confused on the next steps to take regarding heir travels due to the floods and bad weather.

The rate of travel it should be noted, is on a rise as students prepare for the new academic year.

Yet, this is further aggravated by the fact that the governor of the North West Region, Adolphe Lele l’Afrique has banned movement in and out of Bamenda after 6pm.

It should be recalled that last Sunday, all vehicles that left Bamenda after 6pm were sent back by security forces for not respecting the governor’s decision.

“we are stranded, we don’t know what to do,” said a victim.

Meanwhile, some authorities of travel agencies have told passengers they will do their best t assure they have safe travels, despite the travails.
