Following Damas landslide: MINAT boss orders relocation of school

Paul Atanga Nji, Cameroon’s Minister of Territorial Administration has ordered the relocation of a school following the recent Damas landslide.



On Sunday, November 27, 2022, a landslide occurred in Damas, Yaoundé, Center Region of Cameroon, costing the lives of 15 persons.

While on a visit to the scene on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, the MINAT boss, accompanied by Paul Naseri Bea, Governor of the Center Region and the Prefect of Mfoundi made the declaration.


He instructed that the Firm Foundation Anointed Academy nursery and primary school should be relocated with immediate effect.

According to him, the school is located in a risky zone on the hill, and relocating it will help prevent a subsequent tragic incident.
