Communique from AS Arta regarding Alexandre Song

Former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder, Alexandre Song has parted ways with Djibouti club AS Arta Solar 7 after three seasons. The 35-year-old Cameroonian international joined Arta Solar 7 in 2020 and helped the club win the Djibouti Premier League title in both of his seasons with the club.

Song was a key player for Arta Solar 7, and his departure is a major blow to the club. The midfielder was known for his physical presence and his ability to break up play in midfield. He was also a good passer of the ball and could create chances for his teammates.

Song’s departure comes at a time when Arta Solar 7 is looking to compete in the CAF Champions League. The club will need to find a replacement for Song who can provide them with the same or better level of quality in the midfield.

In a statement published on the club’s website, Arta Solar 7 thanked Song for his services and wished him well in his future endeavors.

“We would like to thank Alexandre Song for his three seasons with the club,” the statement said. “He was a key player for us and helped us win two league titles. We wish him all the best in his future career.”

Song is now a free agent and is looking for a new club. He is likely to attract interest from clubs in Africa and Europe.

It remains to be seen where Song will end up next. He has not yet made any statement concerning the future of his career as a footballer.
