Football: Government extends contract of Indomitable Lions coach Antonio Conceicao

Portuguese coach, Antonio Conceicao has extended his contract as coach of the senior national football team of Cameroon till August 2023.

The contract extension was signed today August 27, by the minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi in the presence of FECAFOOT’s interim president, Seidou Mbombo Njoya.

Antonio Conceicao will therefore be in the den of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon during the African Nations Cup which Cameroon will be hosting in January 2022 and possibly the World Cup.

The qualifications for the Qatar world begins Friday September 3, 2021 when Cameroon takes on Malawi.

Meanwhile, deputy coach François Omam Biyick also extended his contract.
