Four persons have reportedly died with many others injured in a road accident along the Kousseri-Maroua road in the Far North Region.
The accident happened Monday, May 23 around 11 am. It involved a car which left Maroua for Kousseri that face-to-face with a heavy-duty truck between Dabanga and Waza.
According to a victim who came out of the vehicle safe, “the driver was trying dodge a hole when he found himself face to face with the truck.”
Four persons died on the spot while several persons sustained severe injuries.
The injured persons were transported to a health facility in Dabanga some 80km from Kouserri.
The bodies of the deceased were transported to the mortuary while waiting for the families to come identify them.
