Four of the same family die in Garoua fire incident

Four persons of a single family are reported to have died after a fire incident in Benoue division in Cameroon’s Northern regional capital, Garoua.

The victims are said to have been a man, his wife and their two kids.

The December 23-eve incident happened at close to midnight when the building housing the family went up in flames.

The 301st firefighting brigade stationed in Garoua are said to have rushed to the scene immediately after being alerted, but could not salvage the situation.

What remains unknown however is the cause of the fire.
