Jean Claude Kamta, a correspondent of Vision 4 Television is receiving medical attention following an attack by teachers of Government Bilingual High School Kribi Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021.

According to a source in the media house, the journalist was on the campus to report deliberations of a disciplinary council meeting held to decide the fate of some students believed to have acted, filmed, and uploaded indecent videos on social media.

While in the hall, some teachers are said to have attacked the journalists for reporting the issue.

To another source, Jean Claude Kamta smuggled into the hall of the meeting convened only for parents, teachers, and the administration ” …the meeting was not open to the press but Jean Claude Kamta presented himself as a parent of one of the girls concerned.

While in the hall, his speeches and continuous accusations of teachers as being the cause of indecent behavior attracted the attention of teachers,” another source said in anonymity.

Vision 4 Television, as at the time of this report, had not issued an official reaction.

Reports from Kribi, South Region of Cameroon say all students involved in what has been termed a scandal have been expelled.
