Gendarmes Disrupt a CPP Rally in Honour of Um Nyobe

1 journalist arrested.

Security forces in Douala banned a public manifestation of CPP party members this morning. Dozens of supporters of the CPP rallied at Carrefour Samuel Eto’o in Nkomondo to pay tribute to Ruben Um Nyobe; UPC founder and freedom fighter when a military pick up suddenly showed up and interrupted the event.

A journalist, Armand Rodolphe Djaleu who was covering the event, was arrested.
