Sunday March 8 was the day scheduled by his Lordship Msgr. George Nkuo, Bishop of Kumbo for a Pastoral visit to the Christians of Dzeng Pastoral Zone in the Diocese of Kumbo in the North West region.
While the international Community celebrated the international women’s day on this same day, the local ordinary of Kumbo paved a way through the hills, bushes and undulating terrain from Kumbo central to the vibrant Christian village of Dzeng.
While the priests and Christians of Dzeng Pastoral Zone waited anxiously to welcome their Father, Bishop George Nkuo went over the hills of Kitiwum assisted by some christians together with him, carried the Shepherd’s luggage and theirs on their heads. This was because the roads have been blocked with heavy logs of wood and any attempt to unblock them would have been interpreted negatively by the blockers.
After moving over a considerable distance, the parish priest of Kitiwum, another near by parish of the diocese, came to the help of the bishop. It was this parish priest who took the prelate to his destination and eased the journey to and fro.
