Girl dies after being raped in Douala

A 17-year-old girl has died after being raped in Cameroon’s largest city, Douala.

The lady whose name we got as Minette Fotsing passed away today morning at a clinic in Bepanda

Reports say findings made by the medics showed that Minette had a vaginal discharge, vulvar secretions, dehydration, “suggesting recent sexual activity”.

Her family reports add, agree with the assertion.

The girl was said to have been found near a construction site in the Logpom neighborhood where her family resides before she was rushed to the hospital.

Little did her family and loved ones know that will be the end of her.

The deceased is said to have arrived Douala from the West region to further studies while living with her brother, before the unfortunate incident.

Minette’s ordeal once more highlights what women and girls are forced to go through on a daily basis in the country.
