The latest ranking by the Global Fire Power Index shows that Cameroon has dropped two places down from its previous position to become only the 21st Military power on the African Continent.
The Global Fire Power Index rankings assess conventional military capabilities in terms of Land, Sea and Air for the top 138 countries in the world, including 35 African Countries, on the basis of 50 main indicators.
On the global stage, Cameroon’s military which most often have comprised of at least 50, 000 to 65, 000 men ranked 108 most potent force in the world, losing 7 places from the previous rankings.
Like in the previous ranks by the Global Fire Power Index, the top ranked Military Forces remains Egypt with more than 930,000 men, with more than 450, 000 others in inactive service. In the world, the top forces remain USA, Russia, China, India and Japan.
