Gospel preacher cleans abandoned Limbe dirty streets.

By David Atangana

The streets of Limbe, Capital of Fako Division of the South West Region of Cameroon are beginning to look ‘born again.’

Refuse dumped on some streets are being cleared giving the seaside resort town a city look.

This follows an initiative of Tomboh Terrence, an evangelist of the gospel who decided to demonstrate God’s likeness for cleanliness.

Limbe, classified a city according to the decentralization law had become a shadow of itself with refuse dumped helplessly on most streets.

Lack of action from municipal authorities pushed the gospel preacher to give a helping hand.

“………waste products have been abandoned and even blocking the road around lifanda city in Limbe,” a city dweller who opted to be identified as Franklin told MMI.

Lauding the initiative of the evangelist, he said, “Thank God for the intervention of Evangelist Tomboh Terrence who took it upon himself to clean the street.”

Waste management in most cities in Cameroon has become an issue that municipal authorities are unable to handle.

So-called cities have turned into pigsties with refuse piled on streets polluting the environment with unpleasant smells.
