Cameroon’s Minister of Communication Rene Emmanuel Sadi has said the government will do everything required to ensure justice is served in the case of murdered radio host Martinez Zogo.
In a statement on Thursday, February 23, one month after the journalist’s body was discovered, Minister Sadi said the government is doing everything possible to shed light on the case.
“By reiterating the condemnation of this assassination unequivocally and with the greatest firmness, the Government of the Republic intends to reassure national and international opinion, as to its determination to do everything possible to shed light on this affair, and let justice be served,” Minister Rene Sadi said.
Earlier this month, the government announced that several people had been arrested concerning the case, prompting positive reactions from many actors.
However, the road towards justice has remained slow and complicated, especially given that most of those accused are top regime barons.
