The Senior Divisional Officer of Melong reveals that more persons have equally been hospitalized in several health facilities.
Just as is the case with the South West Region, administrative authorities of the Littoral Region have called on the population to adhere to hygiene rules.
Persons with symptoms have been asked to go to health facilities for urgent treatment.
In the South West Region, health authorities have blamed water sources for the outbreak of the disease.
The most affected area in the South West Region so far has been the Mile 16, neighborhood in Buea.
Close to 15 cases have been reported from there alone in the past week.
