Home-schooling teacher arrested for the rape of Six pupils in Dschang

A man who was employed as a home schooling teacher has been arrested for the rape of 6 of his learners in Dschang, West Region of Cameroon.

The teacher was arrested following a complaint from the parents of seven girls who had been entrusted to his charge for studies.

The results of preliminary investigations revealed that the accused teacher has systematically abused the girls who according to sources are aged between 4 and 12 years old.

Suspicions began when the parents of one of the girls got worried about her disappearance, and were surprised to see her come out in the middle of the night from her tutor’s room.

Following an interrogation by her parents, the little girl revealed that she was sexually abused by her teacher.

“To be certain, the parents took the child to a health facility for medical examinations. The results attested to her having being sexually violated,” revealed a source.

Upon learning of these developments other parents who had also entrusted the studies of their little girls to this teacher, quizzed them about their encounters with the said teacher.

The responses affirmed that five other girls, including 4-year-old twins, had been sexually abused by the tutor.

Once at the gendarmerie custody in Dschang the teacher admitted committing the acts against the children.

The young teacher, who MMI learnt is currently a student of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the University of Dschang, will be brought before the courts to answer the charges against him.
