Homes razed to ashes in Babubock village

Residents of Babubock village in Cameroon’s South West region are still counting their losses after a military raid that left houses burnt to the ground.

“The entire Bakossi land has been under siege for two days with several persons reported killed” a source tells MMI.

The raid the source adds was conducted across “Tombel, Bangem, Muambong, Ekangte, Muandelengoh” all villages in the Babubock area.

Days back reports states that at least two persons were allegedly killed by the military during the raids. Violence has raged on in the restive Anglophone regions after the deployment of more 700 government troops in the regions to ensure a hitch free election February as government claims. Separatists are bent on disrupting the entire process.
