The forces of Law and Order last week carried out a mission dubbed “Bouclage” in the Nkolmintag sub-division of the Littoral region.
An area known for its high crime wave across the entire region, it was deemed essential by the authorities to clear out the area during the highly classified mission.
“On the instructions of the high command, the police and gendarmerie forces took over this district which has recently been sadly inundated by countless acts of vandalism and assassinations, particularly the return of the most dreaded armed gang ‘Black-Blacks’” a statement from the gendarmerie read.
The forces also revealed dozens of persons were arrested during the operation with various weapons of mass destruction like daggers and some other devices of dubious origins seized, including hard drugs like Indian hemp.
The authorities have warned that the operation which uncovered the crime situation of Nkolmintag was not going to be the last of a kind, promising to extend such surprise raids to other parts of the Litoral region.
The operation “Bouclage” which had already been launched months ago had already carried out successful missions in other parts of the regions before Nkolmintag like Kuwait City and Terminus St Michel Ndogpassi 3.
