A fire accident at the Shell Obili neighborhood in Yaounde has led to serious material losses estimated in millions of FCFA.
The fire broke out at night in a motorcycle parking space ravaging hundreds of bikes.
One of the victims who died as a result is a guard whose colleague is said to have locked him up and went to buy some stuff. “It’s indeed a painful feeling for us. Most of those affected are internally displaced persons from the troubled anglophone regions,” a local told Mimi Mefo info.
Mimi Mefo Info could not get enough images as security forces prevented locals from taking pictures on the scene.
