Husband mourns tragic death of wife in Bamenda

A young community leader and public figure, Victor Buo, in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon, has announced the tragic death of his wife.

Buo took to Facebook to make the announcement on February 11, 2025, a few hours after the wife’s demise.

In a heart-wrenching post, Buo said the last words of his wife, Ngem Cla, were, “Sweetie, I’m leaving.”

Buo and Cla celebrated their union in 2023, nine months after falling in love. Buo describes Cla as a “woman of immense value and determination.”

Here is Buo’s tribute to his wife:

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE PASSING OF MY BELOVED WIFE

It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved wife, Ngem Cla, who went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2025.

We met on February 14, 2023, and from that moment, I knew she was a woman of immense value and determination. We got married on November 18, 2023, and our journey together was filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Tragically, her life was cut short during a surgical procedure to treat fibroids. Despite a successful initial surgery at Upstation Bamenda, complications arose, and she underwent a second emergency surgery at the Regional Hospital. Unfortunately, she did not survive.

Her final words to me, “Sweetie, I am leaving,” will forever be etched in my memory.

The program for her celebration of life will be shared in the coming days.

I ask for your prayers and support during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, my beloved wife.
