Image of Muea after Separatist attack. I am stranded, I am disabled, all my family arrested in Buea - People Voice
People’s Voice (PV)
Hello to the MMI team, and thanks for being our voice.
Please help us send this message to the powers that be.
We are in hell in this crisis. We are either in fear of the Separatists (Amba boys) or in fear of the military. I don’t know if they all want us to leave this country for them.
Since the incident occurred on Thursday in Buea, I am dying gradually because all my family members have been arrested and taken to the Gendarmerie Legion in Buea.
I am a disabled person who cannot do things on my own. I rely on the help of my family members. Now that they have been arrested, I don’t have anyone to assist me at home. At the moment, I have unintentionally messed up the whole house with faeces and urine. I can’t help it because they are the ones who help me to the toilet.
I was in their office at Legion Buea, but I was sent away. They don’t seem to have any pity for what happens to the population. If they are taking them as “Amba” please they should be charged rather than keeping them like raw materials where they are being used to take large amounts of money. That means if they arrest an “Amba,” he can be released after paying for his release. How professional is this, if I may ask? You are guilty if found guilty, as the law is written by those who violate it.
I must say that the military is incriminating the population by making them seek revenge. This is not good for us.
Now how will I take care of myself, especially during this ghost town. At the moment, I have not taken a deep bath since they were taken through the kale-kale. I may die of depression, or I may die of hunger. If friends are monitoring me after this message, please don’t be surprised if anyone does not hear from me again.
