Prolific Cameroonian international footballer, Jean Pierre Nsame has made a revelation that has not stood well for most football lovers.
The attacker of Swiss Club, “Young Boys” has admitted that he had been rejecting calls for over a year now to join the national team selection over the fact that his daughter had started schooling in France.
“Cameroon has been calling me for a year, but I can’t go. The reason is simple: my daughter lives in France and has returned to school,” he revealed in an interview with French Media, GOAL yesterday February 18.
Jean Pierre Nsame is currently the most prolific Cameroonian goal scorer plying his trade in Europe and he has equally won the Swiss Leagues Best Player on two consecutive occasions. The player has had just two International call-ups so far and doesn’t seem likely eager to get involved with the Indomitable Lions.
Some angry sports lovers have asked that he not be called again ever to the team squad out of respect for the Cameroonian people and for the disrespect that his statement on French Media connotates.
