An internally displaced woman whose name we obtained as Akiy Vivian has been shot dead near Buea.
The displaced woman was killed this morning in Mile 14, on the outskirts of Buea South West region of Cameroon.
Gunmen are reportedly to have stormed the area and shooting indiscriminately and “she was caught by bullets from her home,” said sources close to the victim.
Efforts to rescue her were futile, we gathered.
Her body has been deposited at the Tiko mortuary.
This morning, “the attackers armed with automatic and local guns paralysed movements between Buea to Mutengene, shouting no school,” narrated a source earlier on.
Akiy Vivian is a mother of four and an IDP from the North West region of Cameroon.
